These shoes were definately worth the money. I have played with the shoes several times and they are very comfortable and fit great. Some of the other bowling shoe reviews had said that their sizes ran really big on their feet. In other shoe brands I wear a nine and a half and I have skinny feet. I ordered a nine and a half in these shoes and they fit perfectly. This is a voltage converter or transformer that can be used as a step up transformer in 110/120 volt countries or as a step down transformer in 220/230/240 volt countries. They both do their jobs fine, consistently doubling my household voltage as measured with a multimeter. I have products that I purchased overseas and this was the simplest way to keep using them. I have not used these abroad to step voltage down. Inside, there really is not too much to the units. You select the input voltage on the rear (thus bridging that circuit) and then it all goes to the windings and then to the front receptacles. My 750 watt model had the light on the power switch fail on the first day, but this is a non-issue for me. It probably got jostled in shipping but it is not worth returning. And I don't think there is going to be a whole lot of variation among competing transformers that use the same technology. Indeed, the Chinese produced transformers appear to have largely the same design, though with different printing on the front.
