This review is from: Tripp Lite B130-101 VGA over Cat5 Extender 1 Local, 1 Remote Port (Personal Computers)
Was a little hesitant to purchase this due to the price as compared to competing products. When I first hooked it up in a test, the video was horrible. After adjusting the receiver, the video was perfect. I have it installed in a retail store to display customer information. The cat 5 cable is about 40 feet long. Now that I know it works, I'm going to buy more for other locations.

We're using this on our projector in our youth room at church. The Cat5 run is at least 150' plus and the image quality is great. We're using Windows 7 and I noticed when we played a video there was a little distortion. in using the computer for something unrelated, Win 7 changed the color scheme from Aero to a default theme. From that point, the videos played well on the monitor. Also, don't forget to adjust the gain settings on the receiver to get the best picture. One more note, both sides of this extender are powered so make sure you have a way to get power to the receiver.
