| By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Makita HR4001C 1-9/16-Inch 11 Amp SDS-Max Rotary Hammer (Tools & Home Improvement) So I just wanted the share my experience with this tool. I used it to remove floor tile with a scaling bit, then break up a concrete foundation to expose various sewer lines with a bull point, and finally drill a granite boulder to try and break it up enough to install a new toilet flange and elbow. It did a good enough job with breaking up the concrete, but of course, a bigger breaker or pneumatic hammer would do the job faster. It excelled at drilling 3/4" hole in the granite boulder, I was impressed with the speed but it didn't have the power to fracture it with the chisel afterwards. The tile removal is light duty for this machine. Overall, very happy with it. Just hope it holds up after more use but it is made in Japan, not China, so I would guess it should stand up longer.
