This review is from: Antidote Insulated Tube by CamelBak (Misc.)
Between sips, the water in the tube gets hot on a hot day. Just like the uninsulated tube. The neoprene is just not thick enough to be a good insulator. I find this tube to be of no value as far as insulating ability. Camelbak themselves give you the answer to getting a cold drink every time, on their website. After you take a sip, bite down and blow the tube water back up in to the reservoir. If you are really breathing hard from a serious effort, this can be a little hard to do, but it works. So you might as well stick with your uninsulated tube.

5.0 out of 5 stars almost perfect, June 29, 2011

this insulated tube works very well. iv used it on 2 and 3 hour bicycle rides in 85 -95temps and it delivered cold and then very cool water during the ride. i filled it with 2 liters of refrigerated water and a half tray( about eight ice cubes) and when i returned home the ice cubes had melted and what little water left inside was still cool. after being out about fifteen minutes with sun light hitting the tube and mouth piece the tube was isulated well. unless youre costantly drawing water what is in the mouth piece warms up, first sip is warm but then the cold watet flows, not a big deal but if camelbak can insulate the mouth piece it may very well be perfect. at any rate i like it alot.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for cold days, February 14, 2012

Bought this after my non-insulated one froze up. I've been on two runs with this one in sub freezing temperatures without issue. LOVE IT!
