The blood drop needed is small and it reads in 5 seconds. I have never had a problem with the test strips not fitting or the meter not activating correctly. I'd given up on all the other name brand meters, because they didn't give accurate results. My A1c was reading way off compared to what I believed my daily glucose was with other meters. Finally I tried this one & so far it has been very accurate with the doctors results. The meter is just the right size to fit in my hand, the rubber grips make it easy to hold onto & the read out is a nice size to view.I've had no problems with this meter in the past & even the battery lasted 6 months before replacement, which I bought at a local store for just a couple dollars. Our local pharmacy & stores no longer sell the strips for this meter & when they did the strips were costing $65 per 50. I've never bought my strips for this meter in stores, as I always order them from Amazon. Now that my grandmother has been diagnosed as Type 2 diabetic, she has started using this meter & has no problems... Read more |
