The 200mm fan, mounted on rubber isolation mounts in front of a hole in the back of my stereo cabinet, effectively eliminates the tendency of my stereo cabinet (and the components inside of it, obviously) to get hot during use. But I needed a way to power it. The fan has a standard "3-pin fan connector" as commonly found inside of PCs (usually found on the motherboard itself). I needed a 12V power supply to drive that fan.In order to use this device in that manner, I snipped off the coaxial plug, and crimped terminal pins onto the exposed wires, and inserted those into the appropriate Molex connector (leaving one of the three pins, the one while would normally be used for tachometer signals, unpopulated). Second- I got it, after I connected, my security cameras can only work for a very short time with very blurry image. I checked it and connected my camera to the power supply again. When my cam was plugged in, the camera was still in poor image quality and the IR Leds were not work at all this time, and then an acrid smell of burning electronics was emanating from my camera. This poor power supply ($6) cost me a good camera. Stay away from poor power.
