Falls apart/ becomes disassembled when changing TP but still works. Is shiny stainless steal. Arrived on time without any issues with delivery. Mainly I like having my toilet paper back on the roller so I won't be buying another one until this one gets lost. I probably will buy a different kind next time though. My last one did not fall apart like this. I would reccommend buying one at Walmart that is plastic. That one never fell apart.

i bought 4 of these to match our existing TP holders and replace the original flimsy plastic ones. the description states the spindle body is made of plastic but upon close inspection, both pieces are made of metal all the way through...appears aluminum. each spindle also costs less than half what local hardware stores were selling for plastic spindles. my only negatives are they come apart easily when not in the holder (the spring is pretty strong); it needs some type of catch inside the spindle's inner surface so the 2 end pieces don't come apart, and the tapered ends are a little rough that could scratch the inner surface of the TP holder if not careful.
