| 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful  Decent Intercom, By m slaubaugh (NE Ohio USA) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Pair Home Handsets Doorbell Doorphone Intercom Security System (Electronics) This is a decent and inexpensive intercom system that uses 8 AA (4 in each handset) and a double wire line screwed onto the back of the bases to connect each set together (I used thermostat wire as it was the cheapest and toughest available at the local hardware store, copper is getting expensive!). The first set I got from amazon one of the handsets did not work but amazon fixed that by sending out a new set and it worked fine audio is good (you cannot change out the curly cord on the handset as it is hard wired into the handset and other phone handsets do not put out the same volume as the originals, found this out when testing the first set that did not work right) the buzzer/warble noise button works well, not too loud and not too soft (no volume adjustment available on anything by the way). |
